Rejuvenation is the driving concept for my design. The key words surrounding my design language, Aggression and Dynamism, derived from my Prelude Studies 02 artist. This was due to Ai Weiwei's method of creation, where dynamic qualities and aggressive concepts are heavily incorporated in his artworks, and Slash’s complex guitar arrangements and hard hitting solos.

These key words are used in the overall form of the Architecture, where pointed edges of the volumes of the lower storey, upper storey, and the roof are made to point outwards in a rhythmic way, injecting a dynamic motion to the form. It is also achieved through the interplay of lights and shadows within the house through skylights and louvers. The shadows casted on the internal faces of the architecture will show sharp, pointed streaks of light during certain times of day, which showcases aggression.

Rejuvenation is achieved by allowing the client to firstly be mentally refreshed by visual and auditory means which will occur mainly in the double-volume stairway and mezzanine level. This is done by framing views of the sceneries around the vicinity containing greeneries and clear skies. Accompanying that would be sounds such as waves of the pool and the rustling of trees, allowing the natural sounds to enter the house. All this is achieved by openings at the areas facing the pools and trees around the plot, minimizing obstructions. The sounds will be able to be amplified and projected throughout the double volume and the rooms in the architecture, due to the natural acoustic qualities of a high ceiling room. The client will be mentally prepared to continue his journey, on to be physically rejuvenated by going to bed for the night.

The feature space in the architecture’s design is a Studio, which can be used as one for recording or a jamming room. The walls are thicker to achieve the desired acoustic and sound isolation properties. The room contains a large window which opens to the view of the northern face. As he sits at the console desk in the studio, he will be able to see half of greeneries and the sky, and half of the commercial building opposite of the dwelling.
